Dr. Farrell’s research interests focus on Indigenous wellness and substance use, harm reduction, cannabis and mental health.
Biography
Dr. Lindsay Farrell is Anishinaabe (she/hers) and grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Her mother is from Whitewater Lake in Northern Ontario and is a member of Eabametoong First Nation. Her father is a second-generation White settler of Irish, English, and Scottish descent. She has spent the last several years working within academic health research and healthcare settings to advance Indigenous cultural safety & humility, process of Truth and Reconciliation, and supporting improved health and wellness outcomes for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.
